Iphone’s accelerometer

Here the first findings about the iphone’s accelerometer.
According to this source, the iphone has a LSI302DL sensor. Here some specs data about that sensor.

• Technology MEMs (suspended silicon structures )
• +/- 2g/+-8g dynamically selectable full scale.
• Digital output  interface I2C/SPI
• Embedded high pass filter
• Embedded self test
• <1mW power consumption
• 2.16V to 3.6V supply voltage
• Sampling rate selectable 100Hz or 400Hz.
• Sensitivity 18mg/digit for +/-2g and 72mg/digit for (+/-8g)
• It is not clearly stated in the data sheet but it seems the ADC is 8 bits. The signals are multiplexed before enter to the ADC.
